israel - In response to increasing concerns over Turkey's influence in the Middle East, Israel's top officials gather for a special security meeting to analyze potential threats and risks.

In Israel, following the warning from the Nagel Committee to the government to 'be prepared for a direct conflict with Turkey,' Defense Minister Israel Katz has organized a 'special security meeting' focusing on Turkey. The Jerusalem Post reported that the meeting aimed to analyze whether there has been a change in the threat level directed towards Israel due to Turkey's increasing influence in the Middle East.

The meeting was attended by Foreign Minister Gideon Saar, Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi, and top officials from the Foreign Ministry and Defense establishment. Israeli officials expressed concerns about the potential emergence of a 'Turkey axis' in Syria, which could pose a threat to Israel, especially after the decrease in Iran's influence following the fall of the Bashar al-Assad regime.

Meanwhile, the Nagel Committee, which provides defense and security strategy recommendations to the Israeli government, presented a report to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Katz, warning of the risk of a direct conflict with Turkey due to its presence in Syria. Netanyahu is expected to hold a meeting on Turkey in the near future following the report.

Additionally, Israeli newspaper Hayom reported that Energy and Infrastructure Minister Eli Cohen suggested the need for an international conference focused on Syria, proposing the division of Syria into 'canton regions' as a topic of discussion at the conference.
