Syria's new leadership under President Ahmed Shara initiates a dialogue process after the fall of former President Bashar Assad and 14 years of civil war.
President Shara calls for unity and emphasizes the historic opportunity for the country's reconstruction. A temporary justice commission will be established, and discussions on a new constitution will take place during the two-day conference.
The conference excludes the invitation of the terrorist organization PKK/YPG-backed SDG.
