Dominique Pelicot Linked to Two Cold Cases from the 1990s

Dominique Pelicot, currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for the serial rape of Gisèle Pelicot, is implicated in two 'cold cases' from the 1990s. Pelicot recently faced interrogation for crimes dating back to 1991 and 1999.

After being convicted for assaulting his ex-wife, Pelicot was questioned regarding two unsolved cases from over thirty years ago. One case involved the horrific murder and rape of 23-year-old Sophie Narme in Paris in 1991.

Sophie Narme, a young real estate agent, was found strangled with her own belt, drugged, and sexually assaulted in an apartment she was showing. Despite efforts to identify the perpetrator, the case remained unsolved for years.

In a separate incident in 1999, another real estate agent narrowly escaped a similar fate when a man attempted to assault her during a property viewing. The assailant fled the scene, leaving behind a bloodstained shoe that eventually led to Pelicot's arrest in 2020.

Pelicot, although admitting involvement in the 1999 assault due to DNA evidence, denies any connection to Sophie Narme's murder. Both cases shed light on Pelicot's criminal history and modus operandi.

During his trial, Pelicot acknowledged his role in the 1999 assault but vehemently denied any involvement in Sophie Narme's tragic death. The ongoing investigation aims to bring closure to these 'cold cases' that have haunted the families of the victims for decades.
