Former Ukrainian Politician Andriy Portnov Shot Dead in Madrid
Andriy Portnov, a former Ukrainian politician and key advisor to ex-President Viktor Yanukovych, was reportedly shot dead Wednesday morning in Madrid.
The unidentified assailant shot Portnov outside the gates of the American school in the Pozuelo district. Authorities are searching for the shooter and working to identify the body.
Portnov, who was ousted in 2014, had a significant role in Ukrainian politics as an advisor to Yanukovych.
