Everton Pursuing Villarreal's Striker Thierno Barry

Everton has initiated discussions with LaLiga club Villarreal to secure the services of striker Thierno Barry, according to sources. The Premier League team is keen on bolstering their attacking options for the upcoming season and is willing to meet Barry's €40 million release clause.

Barry's Impressive Performance

The 22-year-old French forward, who moved to Villarreal from Swiss club Basel last year for a reported fee of around €13.5 million, emerged as a key player under manager Marcelino García. Barry excelled last season, scoring 11 goals and providing four assists in 35 LaLiga appearances.

Currently, Barry is showcasing his talent at the UEFA European Under-21 Championship, playing a pivotal role in France's journey to the semifinals of the competition.
