gaza strip, israel, lebanon, germany, syria - Hamas is accused of approving a list of 34 hostages demanded by Israel as negotiations for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip continue. Meanwhile, tensions between Israel and Lebanon remain high following multiple alleged violations of a ceasefire agreement.

Hamas is accused of approving a list of 34 hostages demanded by Israel as negotiations for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip continue. The group allegedly released a video featuring 19-year-old Israeli hostage Liri Albag, who was kidnapped from a military base by Hamas on October 7, 2023. In the video, Albag appeals to the Israeli government to reach an agreement. Following the video's release, Albag's parents pleaded with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to make decisions as if their own child was involved.

Germany's Interior Minister Nancy Faeser stated that the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (Bamf) will re-evaluate and cancel protection for individuals in Germany who no longer need it due to the situation stabilizing in Syria. Faeser emphasized the importance of supporting those who wish to return to Syria voluntarily. She also highlighted the need to focus on security issues and the integration of individuals who have established a new life in Germany.

Meanwhile, tension between Israel and Lebanon escalated as the Israeli military allegedly violated the ceasefire agreement reached on November 27, marking the 40th day of violations. The Israeli army reportedly carried out 392 violations since November 27, resulting in 33 deaths and 37 injuries. The violations occurred in southern Lebanon, particularly in the towns of Sur and Nabatiyeh. Israeli forces engaged in activities such as digging near the Ed-Diheira area and targeted villages like Diheira and Tayr Harfa.
