Ukrainian Journalist Tortured and Killed in Russian Prisons

Viktoria Rosjtsjyna, a Ukrainian journalist who disappeared in August 2023 while investigating in occupied territory, was found dead with severe torture marks after being transferred to Ukrainian authorities.

Discovery of the Body

In February, Ukrainian authorities received the bodies of 757 fallen Ukrainian soldiers from Moscow, among which was Viktoria's body hidden under the code 'NM SPAS 757', revealing signs of brutal torture.

Details of Torture

Her body exhibited numerous signs of torture, including bruises, a broken tongue bone, and burn marks on her feet, indicating the use of electric shocks. Parts of her brain, eyes, and throat were missing, possibly removed by Russians to conceal torture evidence.
