- Palmer Luckey, founder of virtual reality company Oculus, must appear before the judge in a case brought against him by a former employer. Total Recall Technologies namely claims Luckey techniques used for which he had signed a confidentiality agreement.

Total Recall Technologies hired VR pioneer in 2011 in order to create a so-called head mounted display, or a screen that can be worn on the head. For this assignment he received from the company feedback on prototypes. However, in 2012 when he launched his campaign funding on Kickstarter to get Oculus of the ground, he would have used, according to the company information from this feedback.

Luckey was also accused of fraud and other missteps, but the judge has determined that these claims are unfounded and that these cases were then canceled. He will also be charged only for breach of contract.

The Oculus founder who sold his company in 2014 with Facebook, claims that his former employer just wants to profit from the success of its new discoveries.

The Oculus Rift, the glasses that his company has developed, is currently on order. The first units will be delivered in late March
