france - French President Emmanuel Macron and wife Brigitte show renewed affection in public appearances following rumored 'slap' incident, dispelling earlier speculations.

Emmanuel Macron and Brigitte Macron's Public Display of Affection

French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte have sparked global headlines with their recent public interactions. Speculations arose after an incident on Monday in Hanoi, during their state visit to Vietnam, where Brigitte appeared to 'slap' her husband before disembarking the plane.

Clash or Playful Moment?

The Elysée Palace dismissed the incident as a 'playful moment' between the couple, with President Macron stating, 'We were bickering a bit, and I teased my wife, as I often do. I am surprised that this video is being perceived as a geoplanetary catastrophe.'

However, subsequent public appearances suggest a harmonious relationship. During their arrival in Jakarta for a visit to Indonesia, Macron gave a thumbs-up as they exited the plane, indicating a positive mood.

Brigitte also visibly held her husband's arm while descending the stairs, a gesture absent on Monday's arrival.

Continuing to dispel rumors, the couple displayed affection during a meeting with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, sharing a kiss and embracing in front of photographers.
