ukraine - Ukrainian drone factories on the rise, capable of destroying military vehicles affordably.

500 Ukrainian Drone Factories Working Overtime

There are currently 500 manufacturers active in Ukraine, utilizing 3D printers to avoid reliance on external parts.

An experienced pilot can disable any armored vehicle with a three-kilogram drone, according to Andrii Federov, co-founder and CEO of Nomad Drones based in Ukraine. The New York Post witnessed the manufacturing process at a secret location.

Some drones from hobby stores can be quickly modified for use. With clever construction, it's even possible to destroy multi-million-euro enemy tanks.

Unmanned aerial vehicles have been used by the US military for decades in conflicts in Iraq, Pakistan, Syria, and Somalia, usually larger in size. The difference now is the use of tiny flying bombs, some as small as twenty centimeters.

Only Nomad claims to produce thousands of drones monthly with around 60 employees, refusing to disclose exact production numbers.

Development escalated when Ukraine faced a shortage of artillery grenades. Over the past year, hundreds of factories supplied 1.5 million units to the military.

Russia, on the other hand, launches significant numbers of Iranian Shaheds, firing 267 in a single night last Saturday. Russia heavily relies on foreign producers, while Ukrainians focus on domestic production.

If peace is achieved, Ukraine aims to establish a flourishing industry that can yield substantial profits in the future, reducing reliance on China, a major US adversary.
