New York on Snapchat suddenly 'Jewtropolis'

amsterdam - Snapchat has a shameful problem with their location indicators. The company Mapbox, which Snapchat obtains maps from, probably has to deal with a hack.

Snapchat itself reports a message with that effect on Twitter. On social media, users shared a card with, at the place of New York, the term 'Jewtropolis'. The StreetEasy app would also have the same problem.

In the meantime the correct name would have returned. The term 'jewtropolis' would only have been visible at a certain zoom. Apps such as Zillow, CitiBike and Jump Bikes were also affected, writes NBC New York.
