Russian fisherman Roman Fedortsov has shared a new video on Instagram showcasing a bizarre deep-sea creature he recently caught.

Fedortsov, who operates in the Barents Sea, has been sharing photos and videos of strange sea creatures caught in his nets for years. With over 600,000 followers on Instagram, his hobby highlights the mysteries of deep-sea life.

In his latest post, Fedortsov reveals a grey, spherical creature on the railing of his ship, identified as a 'snotfish', a deep-sea ray-finned fish that can grow over thirty centimeters long.

Some of his followers are convinced that this discovery is proof of extraterrestrial life. '100% alien,' one person comments. Another speculates, 'That's the pet of aliens living underwater.'

Fedortsov explains that the swollen appearance of the snotfish is due to rapid pressure changes the creature experienced during its journey to the surface.
