rome - Italian police have arrested twelve neo-Nazis who were planning an attack on Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. The group had close ties with extremists and terrorists.

Italian police have arrested twelve neo-Nazis who were planning to carry out an attack on Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. The suspects are accused of being members of an association planning terrorist activities. They also engaged in propaganda, called for violence based on discrimination and racism, and possessed illegal weapons. The group had connections with jihadists and attempted to recruit members through social media.

Additionally, they were in contact with the far-right group Forza Nuova. The neo-Nazis idolized fascist terrorists who had committed attacks in Italy in the past. They targeted Meloni because they viewed her as a traitor to the right-wing cause. The group considered her a fascist until she came into power, which they deeply resented.

The group had scoped out the area around the parliament and devised a plan to assassinate Meloni from a room in a hotel across from the parliament. This plan was orchestrated by Salvatore Nicotra from Bologna. He trained a group to shoot her 'in the head'. Nicotra believed that killing Meloni would be a catalyst for a civil war.

They sought the assistance of a Palestinian to help execute their plan. Nicotra planned to form two armies to attack the parliament. He is a practitioner of Thai boxing and has a passion for firearms. He expressed willingness to sacrifice his life for the cause.

In addition to targeting Meloni, the neo-Nazis also discussed assassinating Klaus Schwab, the chairman of the World Economic Forum, although there were fewer concrete plans for this. One member of the group, Daniele Trevisani, was involved in an American Telegram group where firearms are traded. A group member mentioned making his newborn baby do the fascist Roman salute, to which Trevisani responded positively.

Interestingly, the only individuals the violent Italian neo-Nazis appeared to show respect for were their mothers. Intercepted messages revealed that one leader had stopped using cocaine because his mother confiscated his credit card. Another hesitated to discuss his plans to kill Meloni with his sick mother, who implored him not to do so while she was still alive. Yet another member refrained from training sessions in order to care for his mother.
