The Palisades fire has been 11% contained, while the Eaton fire is 27% contained. Over 100,000 residents are still under evacuation orders.

The fires have also prompted an influx of over 14,000 personnel, 1,400 firetrucks, and 84 aircraft from California and other states to assist in firefighting efforts. Additionally, it has been revealed that around 1,000 inmates are joining firefighters in combating the fires, as announced by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass stated in a press conference that numerous donations totaling over $6 million have been received, aiming to support residents affected by the forest fires.
