Defending champions South Africa delivered a stellar performance in a 4-0 win against Mali, securing their place in the Women's Africa Cup of Nations quarterfinals where they will face Senegal. Ghana also progressed after defeating Tanzania.

South Africa's Lebohang Ramalepe opened the scoring in the fifth minute, followed by a remarkable free-kick goal from Refiloe Jane. Hildah Magaia and Ronnel Donnelly added to the tally, sealing a convincing victory.
