birmingham, brazil - Aston Villa confirms Philippe Coutinho's permanent move to Brazilian side Vasco de Gama after an underwhelming spell at the club.

Philippe Coutinho Joins Vasco de Gama

Aston Villa has officially announced the permanent transfer of Philippe Coutinho to Brazilian club Vasco de Gama. Coutinho, who spent last season on loan at Vasco de Gama, failed to impress during his time in Birmingham.

Underwhelming Spell at Aston Villa

Philippe Coutinho's journey at Aston Villa started in January 2022 on a loan deal. Despite a promising start with eight goal contributions, his performance declined, leading to limited game time in the subsequent seasons.

The 29-year-old midfielder's move to Vasco de Gama marks the end of his time at Aston Villa, where he struggled to make a significant impact.

Aston Villa's Statement

In a statement, Aston Villa expressed gratitude to Coutinho for his service and wished him success in his future endeavors.
