US Navy Loses $60 Million F-18 Fighter Jet in Rode Sea Incident

The United States Navy faced a significant loss as an F-18 fighter jet fell off the USS Harry S. Truman into the Rode Sea. The incident occurred when the crew lost control of the aircraft while it was being towed, leading to its sinking.

Possible Houthi Involvement

Reports from CNN indicate that the aircraft carrier may have had to maneuver due to an attack by Iran-backed Houthi rebels. The rebels claimed responsibility for a drone and missile strike on the carrier. The USS Harry S. Truman is currently in the Middle East region to combat the Houthi threat. US President Donald Trump has urged the military to continue operations until the Houthi rebels cease their attacks on ships in the Rode Sea.
