Man shoots himself in foot trying to kill cockroach

detroit - An American shot himself in the foot trying to kill a cockroach.

The 50-year-old man told the Detroit police on Tuesday morning that he had wanted to kill the cockroach by throwing a shoe at the insect. However, there was a gun in the shoe. The weapon fell out of the shoe and went off, reports Detroit Free Press.

According to the news site, the man has been taken to a local hospital and is in good health.

Whether the cockroach survived the incident is unknown.
