london, uk - Arsenal sources reveal increasing confidence in finalizing a loan deal for Bayer Leverkusen's Piero Hincapié with an option for a permanent transfer. Talks involve Leverkusen's release clause and future transfer terms.

Arsenal Nearing Loan Deal for Piero Hincapié

Arsenal is on the brink of securing a deal for Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapié before the transfer deadline. The 23-year-old has reportedly agreed to personal terms and is set to join on loan with a potential permanent transfer next summer.

Finalizing Transfer Terms

Sources indicate that talks have revolved around Leverkusen's €60 million release clause, with Arsenal negotiating a loan deal with an option to make it permanent. If successful, Hincapié would become Arsenal's eighth summer signing, with the club having already spent over €300 million on new players.

Player Movements

To balance the transfer budget, Arsenal is planning to allow Jakob Kiwior to move to Porto permanently, while Albert Sambi Lokonga is likely to go on loan to Hamburg. Discussions are also ongoing with Hamburg for a potential transfer of Fabio Vieira, and Reiss Nelson is expected to join Brentford.

Meanwhile, Marseille's attempt to secure Oleksandr Zinchenko has faced hurdles, with negotiations ongoing but no breakthrough as of Monday.
