Looting in Zambia after gruesome murders

lusaka - A series of ritual murders has led to great unrest in Zambia. Rioters looted shops Monday of foreigners in Lusaka. Riot police had to turn out to disperse groups of people, state television reported.

Lusaka has been rocked recently by a series of gruesome murders. Certainly six mutilated bodies have been found in the west of the city. Body parts like the heart, genitals and ears were removed. Police arrested four people last weekend on suspicion of involvement.

The killings have led to huge commotion. Earlier went during a protest already a police station in flames. According to the authorities, criminals abuse of the situation by now to loot shops. Minister Davies Mwila (Interior) said late on Monday evening,, a sad day for our country. ''
