domodossola - Two people were killed in a rock avalanche at the Italian-Swiss border. The rocks blew over a road and a railway line at the village of Re near the Swiss border. Certainly one car was dragged along dozens of meters. The two occupants have been killed as a result. It is about Swiss, reported Italian media Monday.
The railway line Domodossola (Italy)- Locarno (Switzerland) was blocked by the avalanche of Sunday afternoon.
Most victims of avalanches in the Alps usually fall through snow avalanches. On Saturday three people were killed in the same region, about 50 kilometers northwest of Re. They were buried by a sliding snow mass at the Swiss Fiesch.
