antwerp - A call from a Belgian jihadist from Syria to his mother in Antwerp has put the police in the Belgian town in a heightened state of readiness. The message gave the man his mother could signal an impending attack.
The Syriëganger pressed his mother at heart to stay away from crowded places such as Antwerp popular shopping or cinema. Then the rumor spread quickly that an attack was imminent.
