Italian diplomat Iraq sold visas

rome - Italy has sacked the head of his visa office in the Iraqi Kurdish city of Arbil. Research has shown that the man for thousands of euros sold visas, sometimes to people who were rejected by others because they were considered a safety hazard.
The Italian Foreign Ministry said the investigation 'irregularities' had been uncovered. The case was referred to the judiciary for further investigation.
The newspaper Corriere della Sera reported that in some 152 cases exorbitant amounts for visas were requested. Some Kurdish and Syrian refugees amounts had to 10. 000 count down. Normally cost a visa 90 euros.
