- South Korean National Intelligence Service reveals North Korea's troop movement to Russia, confirmed by CNN's satellite images.

South Korean Intelligence Confirms Troop Movement

South Korean National Intelligence Service (NIS) official stated that North Korea has sent more troops to Russia, some of which have been redeployed to the front line in Kursk.

Previous Troop Movements and Conflicts

Last year, North Korea sent over 10,000 troops to Russia, many of whom participated in ongoing conflicts in the Kursk region.

Current Developments and Satellite Images

South Korea reported that North Korean troops have not been engaged in conflict since mid-January, but recent satellite images from CNN show troop movements to a remote Russian port.

According to researchers, at least two Russian navy ships transported North Korean troops to a military port in Dunai in October and November.

Analysis of Satellite Images

Images from October 17 show a Russian landing ship and a cargo truck at the port, with further images on October 20 indicating the completion of troop transfer.

Researchers estimate that each Russian landing ship can carry up to 400 troops.

Expert Insights

Researcher Sam Lair from the Nuclear Disarmament Studies Center stated that Dunai provides a secure military facility for discreet transfers, unlike the larger Vladivostok port.
