- One of the handy features of Gmail is that you can log in anytime and anywhere. That is also one of the greatest dangers, because chances are that you log somewhere inadvertently. Problem? Potentially, yes. But luckily you can remotely log out again.

You might think from reading the above: and now, I have nothing to hide. Even if that is the case, it may be detrimental to stay logged in elsewhere. Often accounts linked together and can, for example, through your Gmail, ask your iTunes password and so on. Incidentally, it does not have to be neglect, it can also very well be that someone has given access to your account. That too is very easy to control using this method.

Make sure you always log out when you use Gmail on another computer.

It sounds a bit illogical, but to log in to Gmail, you need to login first. Once logged in, scroll down to the bottom until you see right under the Last account activity, including the option details. Click it to open a pop-up with a list of all sessions that started recently.

In this overview you can see not only the time and location of which is logged in, but also the IP address so you can figure out if who's logged into your account, if you're not yourself. You'll also see which apps have access to your account (for example, if your apps use to clean your inbox). Now click on log out all other sessions. You will be automatically logged out of all sessions, except for the session in which you're sitting yourself. Wash your account opened by someone not authorized to have it? Change immediately as your password.

Nevertheless forget to log out? Fortunately it remotely.

Many people use Google, however, has long been not only to e-mail. Google Maps, Music, Drive and Android smartphones or tablets, Google is everywhere. Convenient, but also dangerous if you do not pay attention. Although you really need your password if you want to change important things, attackers can cause a lot of damage if for example you forget to log out on a public PC.

Is there a smartphone among you do not know? Then remove!

Luckily, you can manage all your Google services in a useful overview. Login for it in Google, click your profile photo top right and go to My Account. Under the heading Log and Security Device activity and notifications. If you now click on the right to check on devices, you will see a list of all devices that currently use your Google Account. Do you recognize any of the devices? Then click Delete beside Access to this account and you will automatically be logged out.
