Parents of Abducted Children in Dalfsen Remain in Custody

The biological parents of the two children who went missing from Dalfsen earlier this year will continue to be held in custody for an additional two weeks, as decided by the Overijssel court.

Identity Concealed

The court has not disclosed the identities of the detained parents. However, according to regional broadcaster RTV Oost, the father is identified as Michaël van K, an Enschede lawyer who is currently under provisional suspension from practicing law by the Order of Lawyers in Overijssel.

Abduction and Discovery

Following the disappearance of the children, an Amber Alert was issued by the police on March 31. The siblings were last seen at the station in Dalfsen, raising significant concerns about their safety. They were eventually located in a residence in Oudenaarde, Belgium, during the night of March 31 to April 1, in the presence of their biological parents who were subsequently arrested.
