Google stops Talk

mountain view - Google pulls the plug completely out of the chat service Talk. This was announced by the tech giant Friday. The decision is not entirely unexpected, because Google itself for a while more focus on Hangouts, but still had its Google Talk account available.

Talk was introduced in 2005. Gmail users it could chat with each other. In 2013, Google began switching to Hangouts. Which was recently expanded with new features.

Talk users receive in the coming weeks the option to switch to Hangouts. As of June 26, users are transferred automatically. They can set the Hangouts get the look of Talk.
