france - The body of a French girl has been found over a year after her disappearance, shedding light on a tragic case involving suicide and mysteries.

The young Lina left her mother's house in Plaine on September 23 of last year, heading to the Saint-Blaise-la-Roche station to meet her boyfriend Tao. However, she never arrived, sparking alarm. Along the way, Lina disappeared, possibly on a provincial road, with her phone signal cutting off at 11:22. Her sudden disappearance led to various theories, including suspicions towards her boyfriend and abduction concerns.

The case was revived in the summer of 2024 when Lina's DNA was found in a stolen vehicle driven by Samuel Gonin, who later committed suicide. Gonin, a troubled man with a criminal history, had a tumultuous past leading up to his tragic end. The discovery of Lina's remains in an unexpected location raised even more questions about the sequence of events.

Despite the closure brought by finding Lina's body, many uncertainties remain as to the details surrounding her disappearance and murder. Investigations continue to uncover the motives and actions of Gonin, shedding light on a tragic and unsettling crime that shocked the nation.
