- A man in Sri Lanka is arrested because he would have tried to gold rods into his anus to smuggle across the border.

The 42-year-old man stood out because he was so tough on the Bandaranaike airport, reports the BBC. Customs found four hundred grams of gold between his buttocks. Value: 12 700 euro.

This year there are more than seventy people were arrested for gold smuggling. The precious metal is relatively cheap bought in Dubai and Singapore. In India, it is then sold at a higher price.
