Gmail has 1 billion active users

- Gmail has 1 billion monthly active users. That made Google famous.
Gmail was already designated in 2012 as the most popular e-mail service in the world at that time with 425 million active users per month. In about 3.5 years, that number has doubled so thick.
It is not the only milestone for Google and its parent company Alphabet. WhatsApp messaging also set the counter on 1 billion users.
