A 25-year-old Japanese man, Fumiya Takenawa, utilized an 85-year-old ticket purchased online to gain access to the ongoing World Expo in Osaka. The ticket was originally meant for the 1940 Great International Exhibition of Japan, postponed indefinitely due to war.

Unique Access Granted

Takenawa, a collector of old exhibition memorabilia, initially intended to use the ticket as a decoration but later contacted Expo organizers who allowed its use. Feeling connected to history, he visited various pavilions including those of Czechia and Saudi Arabia.

The World Expo showcases global scientific, technological, economic, and social progress and has been held every five years since its inception in 1851 in London's Crystal Palace.
