AMSTERDAM - Motorists in the Amsterdam region will soon be able to communicate from their cars to the traffic light. Get through for example the smartphone or other applications in the car with them how long they have to wait for a red light. Even so drivers can get by on what speed they need to drive to get a,, green wave to measure ''.
The experiment next year is part of a project of the Amsterdam Metropolitan Area to traffic to allow better flow through new and clever applications. For the whole project, 10 million are foreseen.
The 'smart intersections' may shorten the waiting time, the thought. Through traffic with advanced information and communication technologies road users receive individual advice based on current information.
