Liverpool and Portugal forward Diogo Jota, 28, tragically passed away in a car accident in Spain alongside his brother, André Silva. The incident occurred near Zamora, Spain, in the early hours of Thursday morning.

The Civil Guard confirmed that Jota and his brother were found dead after their car veered off the road near Zamora. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation by the authorities.

Jota made 182 appearances for Liverpool, winning the Premier League, FA Cup, and two Carabao Cups during his five-year tenure. He started his career at Paços de Ferreira, with stints at Atlético Madrid and FC Porto. Additionally, he earned 49 caps for Portugal, winning the UEFA Nations League twice.
