Crystal Palace Reject Tottenham's Bid for Marc Guéhi

Tottenham Hotspur had a bid for England defender Marc Guéhi rejected by Crystal Palace last weekend, as reported by ESPN sources. The 24-year-old Guéhi, a long-term target for Spurs, saw their initial offer swiftly turned down. Spurs are yet to come back with an improved bid before the looming deadline. Sources close to the player suggest that a deadline day transfer is improbable. The situation may be revisited in the summer, with Guéhi having just a year left on his Selhurst Park contract. Despite making 23 appearances for Crystal Palace this season, Guéhi is not expected to renew his contract, leaving his future uncertain. Tottenham, aiming to strengthen their squad, recently signed Kevin Danso from Lens on loan with a future permanent deal agreed. Meanwhile, Spurs have abandoned their pursuit of Chelsea's Axel Disasi, who reportedly favors a move to Aston Villa.
