israel, gaza, yemen, palestine, syria, damascus - Israeli state television Kan claims that Hamas requested a temporary ceasefire in Gaza to prepare the list of prisoners' demands, while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that conflicts in Gaza will resume after a ceasefire deal with Hamas.

Israeli state television Kan reported that Hamas requested a one-week temporary ceasefire in Gaza to prepare the list of demands regarding prisoners. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu revealed in a closed-door meeting that conflicts in Gaza will resume after reaching a ceasefire agreement with Hamas. Netanyahu emphasized that if an agreement is reached, Israel will return to war to complete the objectives, without any intention to conceal it.

In a news released by the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen, it was stated that they carried out 27 attacks on Israel in December 2024 in retaliation for the massacres in Gaza and US attacks in Yemen. The news reported that 27 military operations were carried out in the depths of Israel in December, targeting sensitive military points with "Palestine-2" hypersonic and "Zulfiqar" ballistic missiles as well as numerous drones.

An announcement from the "National Initiative to Retrieve the Bodies of Martyrs" in Palestine revealed that the Israeli authorities are holding the bodies of 198 documented martyrs from the year 2024. The announcement emphasized that this number represents approximately one-third of the 641 bodies held in a secret cemetery known as the "Number Cemetery" and in morgues.

The news on Kan, the Israeli state television channel, covered the developments in the prisoner exchange negotiations between Tel Aviv and Hamas. According to unnamed foreign sources, Hamas indicated that they could not prepare the list of Israeli prisoners for potential release in a possible agreement. Hamas reportedly requested a one-week temporary ceasefire in Gaza to prepare the list of demands for the release of Israeli prisoners. During this ceasefire, Israeli soldiers occupying Gaza would remain in the area while Hamas prepares and submits the list through mediators. Israel expects the list of Israeli prisoners held by Hamas, estimated to be 101, with at least a third presumed dead.

In Bab Tuma, Damascus, many Syrians gathered in squares waving three-starred Free Syrian flags, playing various musical instruments, and singing revolutionary songs together. The Syrian interim government's Ministry of Interior officials set up barriers on roads leading to the area, closing off traffic. The night culminated in fireworks being set off to the delight and cheers of the Syrians, who captured the moments on their cell phones.
