Chelsea Continues Pursuit of Jamie Gittens

Chelsea remains determined to secure a deal for Jamie Gittens, despite Borussia Dortmund's demand for a £40 million fee. The London club's initial £30 million bid was turned down, but negotiations are ongoing.

Background and Signings

Gittens, a former Manchester City youth team player, has expressed interest in moving to Stamford Bridge. Chelsea, looking to bolster their attacking options, have already signed Liam Delap from Ipswich Town for £30 million this summer.

Player Details and Transfer Clause

The 20-year-old forward has made 106 appearances for Dortmund, scoring 17 goals, and represents England at the under-21 level. Manchester City retains a 10% sell-on clause from Gittens' previous transfer to Germany in 2020.

Other Transfer Activities

Chelsea is also eyeing a deal for AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan, although valuations with Milan differ significantly. Additionally, the club has finalized the acquisition of Strasbourg midfielder Mamadou Sarr.
