bucharest - Pro-Russian candidate Calin Georgescu is heading towards victory in the first round of the presidential elections in Romania.
Calin Georgescu, a pro-Russian candidate, has secured 22.59 percent of the votes, while Ciolacu won 19.55 percent. The second round of voting is scheduled for December 8.
