Drone tilt record number of kilos

oslo - A team of engineers from the University of Oslo has established a record with a self-built drone. The giant construction managed a whopping 61 kilos to get into the air. This performance resulted in a spot in the Guinness Book of Records. This can be seen on the Facebook page of the Norwegian brains.

The colossus, renamed the Megakopter, consists of eight hexacopters (drones with six arms with attached the helicopter blades) and is powered by 48 individual motors. The cargo of 61 kilos hovering 37 seconds in the air, as can be seen in a movie of Guinness World Records on YouTube.

The team of engineers in the future hopes to adjust the Megakopter making it even heavier cargo and even people can lift.
