Identification of 66 Victims in Washington D.C. Airplane Crash

All 67 victims of the collision between a passenger plane and a military helicopter near Ronald Reagan Airport in Washington D.C. have been found in the Potomac River, with 66 victims identified. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is conducting investigations on the wreckage. The initial investigation report is expected to be released within 30 days.

Details of the Crash

The collision between an American Airlines passenger plane and a Black Hawk military helicopter was confirmed by the Federal Aviation Administration on January 29th. The incident resulted in the crash of the plane carrying 60 passengers and 4 crew members and the helicopter carrying 3 military personnel into the Potomac River near Washington D.C. No survivors were reported from the crash. Earlier reports stated that 55 out of the 67 victims had been identified.
