- Tottenham Hotspur legend Son Heung-Min has signed with LAFC in a record MLS deal worth $26 million. Son's move follows his 10-year tenure at Spurs, where he scored 173 goals in 454 appearances.

Tottenham Legend Son Heung-Min Signs with LAFC

LAFC has officially announced the signing of Son Heung-Min in a groundbreaking MLS-record deal valued at $26 million. The South Korea star's departure from Tottenham Hotspur marks the end of a remarkable era.

Record-Breaking Deal and Spurs Legacy

Sources revealed that the $26 million agreement surpasses the previous MLS record set by Atlanta United FC. Son's prolific career at Spurs spanned 10 years, during which he etched his name in the club's history books with 173 goals and 101 assists in various competitions.

Transition to LAFC and Reunion with Hugo Lloris

Son's move to LAFC will reunite him with former Spurs teammate Hugo Lloris, who also made the switch to MLS. The departure of Harry Kane in 2023 saw Son emerge as Tottenham's key player, eventually being named captain by coach Ange Postecoglou.

Son's final competitive appearance for Spurs was in the Europa League final victory over Manchester United. LAFC, currently in sixth place in MLS's Western Conference, anticipates Son's impactful presence in the team.
