- Fenerbahce blames Saudi Arabian club for N'Golo Kanté transfer failure due to administrative errors. Kanté's move from Al Ittihad to Fenerbahce falls through, affecting both clubs.

Fenerbahce Explains Collapse of N'Golo Kanté Transfer

Fenerbahce's anticipated acquisition of N'Golo Kanté from Al Ittihad has been derailed, with the Turkish club attributing the breakdown to administrative mistakes by their Saudi Arabian counterparts.

Transfer Disruption

The transfer involving Kanté and Youssef En-Nesyri was expected to go through, but both deals have now been called off. Fenerbahce pointed fingers at Al Ittihad's mishandling of Transfer Matching System (TMS) information, leading to missed deadlines.

The club emphasized their adherence to protocol and efforts to seek an extension, but Al Ittihad's failure to comply caused the collapse. Despite the setback, Fenerbahce remains committed to meticulous procedures in future transfers.

Player Background

Kanté, a key player for Al Ittihad since 2023, faced disappointment as the transfer fell apart. The 34-year-old, back in the French national team, remains with Al Ittihad as Fenerbahce aims for their first league title in over a decade.

Meanwhile, Fenerbahce secured another French talent, Mattéo Guendouzi, in a bid to strengthen their squad. In a separate move, Karim Benzema left Al Ittihad to join Al Hilal in the Saudi Pro League.

As Fenerbahce and Al Ittihad navigate the aftermath of the failed transfer, the football community awaits further developments in this transfer saga.
