German Police Arrest Four Teenagers Linked to Extreme Right-Wing Terror Group

In a pre-dawn operation, German police apprehended four teenagers suspected of being part of a right-wing extremist terrorist cell. The individuals, aged between 14 and 18, are facing charges related to arson attacks and vandalism targeting cultural centers and refugee shelters.

Neo-Nazi Group Activities

The group known as 'Letzte Verteidigungslinie' (Last Line of Defense) operates across multiple states, with ties to neo-Nazi ideologies, as reported by Der Spiegel. Additionally, a fifth teenager is under investigation for supporting this extremist organization.

According to authorities, the organization perceives itself as the final defense line for the 'German nation,' aiming to violently overthrow the democratic system of the Federal Republic of Germany, particularly targeting migrants and political adversaries.

The police highlighted that the detained teenagers were active in right-wing extremist online chat groups where they encouraged each other to commit criminal acts. The authorities expressed concerns about the increasing prevalence of extremist right-wing activities in such chat rooms, especially among young individuals.
