moscow, russia - State-owned Rosneft, Russia's largest oil producer, allegedly employs dozens of escorts at the expense of taxpayers.

Accusations Against Rosneft

Rosneft, Russia's biggest oil producer, is under fire for reportedly employing dozens of escorts at the taxpayers' expense. The employees' registry revealed that several women working for Rosneft were also listed on escort service websites. These escorts allegedly accompanied top executives, including CEO Igor Sechin, on international trips.

One such case is Albina I., hired in 2016 as a 'deputy head of business management.' Despite being only 21 years old at the time, she earned a starting salary of over 300,000 rubles per month, equivalent to approximately 2930 euros. Nine years later, she reportedly earned a total of at least 322 million rubles (around 322,000 euros) and traveled with Sechin on his private jet 58 times.

The women were said to receive substantial compensation for their services, far exceeding regular Rosneft employees. The Anti-Corruption Foundation highlighted in a YouTube video that while every woman has the right to make their own choices, these individuals are currently on the government's payroll, funded by the state-owned company's budget.

Despite the allegations, it is unlikely that Rosneft will face repercussions. CEO Sechin, aged 64, enjoys a close relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin, who is expected to shield him from any consequences, at least for now.
