Forensic Crisis and Current Situation

Mexico has faced a forensic crisis due to funding shortages and lack of coordination, leading to thousands of unidentified bodies.

Statistics and Figures

Between December 2018 and July 2023, over 8,961 people were reported missing in Mexico City, with 4,461 still unaccounted for. Nationally, more than 125,000 individuals are missing.
