The only thing Thomas knew was that she was adopted and that her mother came from the same place, Rochester. For years she watched passersby's eyes in the hope of finding a glimmer of recognition and she searched the Internet looking for her mother.

Only when the editors of the TLC program
Long Lost Family sought out what it was, the bizarre truth came to light. The two worked together for ten years in the same hospital.

'This is what I expected in a million years,' says Thomas against

The two women met when Thomas came to work together ten years ago at the hospital in Rochester. Her mother Nita Valdez transported patients from the hospital and the two spoke to each other regularly. They had neither through that they were mother and daughter, Thomas tells the newspaper.

The two have had a good relationship. 'She is very quiet and funny. I'm a comedian, so she always laughed at my jokes, which was true. But we never saw each other outside of work. '

Thomas got the answers thanks to the program where they have been looking for years. Valdez was on her seventeenth become pregnant and the father of the child, a minister, did not give any support. That's why she had given up her child for adoption.

Thomas hopes that they can build a new relationship with her mother and that her children have good contact with their grandmother.
