Manchester City Nearing Deal for Rayan Cherki

Manchester City is close to securing the services of Lyon forward Rayan Cherki in a €40 million deal, sources report. The 21-year-old, who recently impressed on his international debut for France, is poised to join City on a five-year contract after a successful medical.

Cherki's Impressive Stats

Cherki, having scored 29 goals in 185 appearances for Lyon, is set to be City's third summer signing. The forward's decision to join City was influenced by discussions with Pep Guardiola, rejecting interest from other English and German clubs.

New Additions to City's Squad

Wolves left-back Rayan Aït-Nouri and Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders are also set to join City, with Aït-Nouri having completed his medical and Reijnders finalizing a €55m deal. Both players are expected to be part of Guardiola's squad for the upcoming Club World Cup.

Departure of Scott Carson

City has confirmed the departure of goalkeeper Scott Carson, who has left the club after his contract expired. The 39-year-old, who made two appearances during his six-year spell at the Etihad, bids farewell to City.
