london - Two British drug dealers forgot their backpack filled with ketamine on a train and tried to minimize the damage by reporting it to the train staff.

Two apparently clumsy drug dealers were found with 'a considerable amount of ketamine,' as disclosed by the British police last week. Jordan McCourt-Knight and Harley Hall were carrying a backpack during the 2019 incident on the train, containing ketamine valued at tens of thousands of euros. However, they managed to forget the backpack with ketamine.

They did have the courage to report themselves to the station staff, but it turned out to be a rather optimistic move. The train with their backpack had already departed. The police, thanks to the report, had the opportunity to keep an eye on them, which led to a much larger investigation into an internationally organized drug gang. The two men were found to be part of a drug trafficking network that is also active in Portugal, as reported by the Shropshire Star. The police described it as a massive 'blunder' on the duo's part.

During their first arrest, officers found various mobile phones, over a kilo of marijuana, and a large amount of cash. The discovery of the phones helped dismantle the network to a large extent and identified other suspects. The message exchanges revealed a failed drug deal and the two men arguing among themselves because 'customers' complained about the quality of the cocaine.

McCourt-Knight admitted guilt to trafficking cocaine and MDMA, resulting in a six-year and three-month prison sentence. His accomplice received five years and 10 months in prison.
