UK Imposes Sanctions on Putin's Inner Circle

The UK Foreign Office has imposed sanctions on 4 individuals close to Russian President Vladimir Putin and 2 entities linked to the country's nuclear energy giant Rosatom.

The sanctioned individuals include key figures such as Vladimir Viktorovich Selin, Pavel Mikhailovich Fradkov, Artem Yuryevich Chaika, and Yuri Yakovlevich Chaika. Assets of the sanctioned individuals have been frozen and travel bans have been implemented.

Additionally, two entities, the 'Kirov Energomash Plant' factory and 'Rosatom Additive Technologies', both subsidiaries of Rosatom, have also been targeted with sanctions for their involvement in supporting Russia's military activities.

Updates on Yuri Yakovlevich Chaika

A revision has been made to the existing sanctions on Yuri Yakovlevich Chaika, a member of the Russian Security Council.

Statement by UK Foreign Secretary

UK Foreign Secretary David Lammy emphasized the need for further action against Russian aggression in response to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. Lammy also highlighted the importance of supporting Ukraine and maintaining the long-standing partnership between Ukraine and the UK.
