Nottingham Forest Parts Ways with Manager Nuno Espírito Santo

Nottingham Forest has confirmed the departure of manager Nuno Espírito Santo after just three games into the Premier League season. The club expressed gratitude for his contributions, particularly in securing European qualification last season.

Successful Era and European Qualification

Nuno took over from Steve Cooper in December 2023 and helped Forest avoid relegation that season. He then led the team to a seventh-place finish, securing European qualification for the first time in 30 years. Despite signing a new three-year deal in June, Nuno will not be leading Forest in the Europa League campaign this season.

Speculations and Future

Speculations about Nuno's future arose earlier in the season when he mentioned a strained relationship with club owner Evangelos Marinakis. Nuno's departure comes ahead of Forest's upcoming match against Arsenal on Sept. 13.
