japan - Japanese toy manufacturer MegaHouse releases the smallest Rubik’s Cube in the world, requiring tweezers to solve and priced at 4700 euros.

Each side of the aluminum-made cube measures about five millimeters. The puzzle weighs a total of 0.33 grams and fits over a thousand times in the original. Guinness World Record has confirmed it as the smallest rotating puzzle globally, surpassing the 2016 record held by Tony Fisher with a 5.6-millimeter cube.

MegaHouse revealed to CNN that they started conceptualizing the cube four years ago and commenced production in 2022.

The cube comes with a hefty price tag of 777,777 yen (approximately 4700 euros), making it a collector's item. Enthusiasts can already place orders, with expected delivery in April of next year. Each unit includes a plaque stating 'smallest Rubik’s Cube in the world'.

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Rubik’s Cube, invented by Hungarian Ernő Rubik in 1974. Over 500 million units have been sold worldwide since its creation.
